It won't hurt to get the info even while it is updating.  As long as you are not emerging anything new, it shouldn't change.  This will get the info.


cat /var/lib/portage/world


Then copy the output and paste it in a email.  It's plain text so post the whole thing.  You could just attach the file as well.  Either way should work.
