Is there any downside to enabling USE=hpn for openssh? Description is
here: http://www.psc.edu/networking/projects/hpn-ssh/.
Does anyone know why it isn't enabled by default?

I'm using it and haven't noticed anything bad - which doesn't
mean much, of course.

I suppose because it is a patch.
