Everything works fine except for an error message which I get on bootup. Every time I boot, I get the message: cdrom: open failed cdrom: open failed I get the message twice as shown. I'm guessing I get the message twice because I have 2 optical drives in the system. Based on when the message pops up, it appears that the message is coming from /sbin/rc. When I looked at the script, however, I can't find anything trying to open a cdrom drive. Some potentially relevent info: Kernel: 2.6.13-ck5 GCC: 3.4.4-r1 glibc: 2.3.5 If anybody needs any additional info, I'll be happy to post it. I didn't want to spam the list unnecessarily. Thanks, Carl -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
