What did I possibly mess up ? I can't fin= d any significant difference between /etc and /mnt/key/etc (a recent backup= )... I will reinstall only if I can't help it, as one of the reason I've been us= ing gentoo for 8-10 years is I only have to reinstall when renewing the har= dware.
