I worked around this is Jitsi (it has background blur but not replacement) by using OBS Studio, which does all this and much, much more. With the plugin from media-video/obs-v4l2sink it creates a new "camera" with its output. That's a standard-looking /dev/videoX device and can be used with any software. It's a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut just to get background replacement bit it works well and I already had it installed from something else. --=20 Neil Bothwick Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional!! --Sig_/Jirx3QFMmr60lWTqQmbvMV3 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCAAdFiEE8k9T/rX16EJxEKG692eFu0QSMJgFAl7rGMYACgkQ92eFu0QS MJhP6RAAjMFKSK0PHmf6d4SHgEYDQNxG3SeCr6qtg5jgYlCVFm5TlpAMANejw+Db E4K+Xm+S7el5CACZ4IuUPn4w3l1V5tK8j6NbQIcA5xrfctfA1NfrxXslwgzfdBXc 9QWyG6t/ET04D4O0W66WRTj1dvlPdUCcX5f+H453wLy/K8cgUl6T2PtHwdXEGA5B MlSUXUVwl1euX+jENvBeRjPUGUD0scB51EKT5+oZW/KNUPSFSmJMeAZgo6by4IUk Q1vzPN8xHoRTD/e2IfyVFIFaaJ1FDJUQ1Ki7JHLc3JwZrC8ymvfV4vUqOiAy8RC/ /j5wHMShJXLe951285fG++n0BGLNrOtExcPzf8fZAK9KNtXSWIfmrKtbyooY6yIH XsKeUBilC0fLCuUnTe94U2tVPOXjy3FBRSWVsEmSiDZLEVzxZzagO3o0oMbGzVpY lycHBJx7eVDas/xLLFphDdm86PVIZiwfIARgEzrBTwGbB/hYxXvJucCtdyPBHNTL 1lzYKs2PPjJi78F1405trGm7vG6TSxrpl/ZQ5YfxQ1TUKmHjjQBg9rP6bwjUDgl6 sP9TWs+2ztGj6Z4E8o36WuoFbHN1uAzB1g4UpxnVoqi0SbfVQ89CQoNmlMKWEFqz bHmrVVdF/BjGzfShJz5gn6VuxGGin616xpbq2p0c56B0H49JbMY= =K9HI -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/Jirx3QFMmr60lWTqQmbvMV3--
