Btw., if you're using the testing tree (e.g. ~amd64) you should do a gcc upgrade instead of rebuilding gcc as the news item says. Unfortunately the news item explicitly mentions gcc-6.4.0. After rebuilding it as the news item says I found out that gcc-7.2.0 is already in the portage tree. So more than an hour wasted. Heiko
