Hello, Gentoo.

Last night, somebody suggested to me we might communicate over "Firefox
Hello", somthing I'd never heard of.

With the help of Wikipedia, and Mozilla's help pages, I discovered it
should be on my system, and went to the "menu" button, clicked on
"customized" and looked for the "Hello" icon, as described in the FF
website help. It wasn't there.

I tried starting firefox-bin, to see if, perhaps, I'd missed out some use
flag while building FF. "Hello" wasn't in firefox-bin either.

In fact, I can find no trace of it whatsoever. I'm missing something,
somewhere, possibly something important.

Help, please!

If you are using ESR versions (gentoo stable), Hello is currently
disabled (see ¹). I hope it will be enabled in the next ESR.

You could try with with the ~arch version of firefox, it should be
enabled.

Maybe it will be.

I'll think about this. I usually avoid ~arch thingies, to keep my
system "stable".
