The desktop has two monitors, of different ages and quality. However, the= =20 difference between images I'm referring to in this thread, is visible on th= e=20 *same* monitor when using MSWindows (either natively or within a VM), but m= uch=20 less so on Linux. I've tried to make the two monitors' colours look simila= r,=20 but the old Dell monitor has a lot more red in it which I can't take out us= ing=20 the hardware adjustments. I have been thinking to buy one of these little measuring devices and now m= ay=20 be a good time. Would you mind explaining how it works? You measure the icc of a monitor -= =20 what do you do with this then? Do you need to be running something like=20 colord all the time to feed some correction data to xranrd? =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart2198245.5UrYaXtHZB Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAABCAAGBQJV8DcHAAoJELAdA+zwE4Ye5f0H/30AhjH9Lb87rJz1KMNo9nMs 9R/V+WdqVNhpmDUPYi6FdAB80kQvxybxcz6oEqR8Jm0XqmR4pxCd0HlBCXDXMw1u faUh3q8/lLuIZ/zb+NgYrrA2YSo8c+e/OCjddQxcbJOIlakwCYUQ68WtUndWMgNN MSWFzVjVQBeG8wHyb3455ZC719b8NfVu7X+ZSuu7gf/LVGa4qBva4dn3HsNM7bBw YV3Us9bCAL7ITTf164/jsm7aoridAHkqOmWxDYrsylfVfFPhVp1bT6mBB06+aG8C W3nffIniNgbp6/pvI5e7wlv6a9i0CDtQdT1BF270pjw4Dcpw9DH6ZRLr4wqs7lk= =mp5N -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart2198245.5UrYaXtHZB--
