You are using the KDE profile, so you should expect programs emerged with the kde USE flag to depend on elements of KDE. As others have said, just emerge the KDE programs or meta-packages you want and let portage handle everything else. Alternatively, switch to a standard desktop profile, get X working, then switch profiles and emerge your KDE packages. --=20 Neil Bothwick The Computer is the logical advancement of humankind: intelligence without morality. --Sig_/85y9FU0m+_4_TrGHlxSBFq5 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iEYEARECAAYFAlQpscoACgkQum4al0N1GQM9DgCgxaamiSV28m+3zZLlcWrpDM7G VpYAnRTg9tVYKP54SwpQeOUGo9lrSKk3 =dL9O -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/85y9FU0m+_4_TrGHlxSBFq5--
