So installed it on a=20 machine and set up a couple of IMAP4 servers to get messages from. An acco= unt=20 with a messages in the low hundreds works fine. An account with messages i= n=20 the 100k plus range works like a dog. While kmail fetches headers and then= =20 akonadi sets off to organise threads and whatever else it wants to do the=20 application becomes pretty much unresponsive and the CPU climbs up to 98%. = =20 Half an hour later I can get back to it. :-@ Anyway, this is not the current problem. I updated mysql to 5.5.39, then I= =20 kmail would not start with akonadi failing with "mysql log containing error= s". =20 So I ran: mysql_upgrade --socket=3D/tmp/akonadi-michael.NFvLpB/mysql.socket which completed without an error. Kmail still failed to start. Trying to= =20 start akonadi console states: "Failed to connect to database. Driver not loaded" Then the pop up Details window says MySQL log contains errors, just like wh= en=20 I try to start kmail. This is what I see in=20 =2Elocal/share/akonadi/db_data/mysql.err: InnoDB: Unable to lock ./ibdata1, error: 11 InnoDB: Check that you do not already have another mysqld process InnoDB: using the same InnoDB data or log files. Is there somethi= ng=20 else I should be doing here to get this going? =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart4942546.xq0JH0mhuK Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAABCAAGBQJT5n36AAoJELAdA+zwE4YekPkIALK8luKuL0p05yr5RztQp1Op vO4oKhX/ip5NqOwul2AZNEMyWJPAN+9QXSKZdGf+QbF/fDeXpivQmZwKXu03MEGG S0Ia8WZwBUR1sONT//j0eKgjramOmBgwMe4lF+nfQ1iIJfff18w9VS0EQU9brl0h +tyUASy5MCpS4lMjaFnFPBUTybdtLkHUctAuqTzqFXCfhgkVI99+qTNBzfaOku8z LS2SxEIeTldwpd20yaSndrI+wEgvxortCLnqMIK1dHZ1L2A8eM34Jsa5fptFDsIA a5a4SfCFMWUsAXYuzBUl2S1s9VgcxFPxtrPtJcs9mW3SHkAubgYJ87LYxoM0zSE= =YQNL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart4942546.xq0JH0mhuK--
