On the other hand the kernel has advanced enough now to offer power managem= ent=20 for ATI cards. I've set this up for my Mobility Radeon HD 4670: cat /etc/local.d/set_radeon_power_profile.start echo auto > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_profile and it stopped the cooling fan from working all the time irrespective of th= e=20 load. This also makes the battery last longer. =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart1428124.Y7oQeBKhup Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.19 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAlE8yeYACgkQVTDTR3kpaLbvgACgqBp1sxpG/VxDYX5TnC/F6SeT QEkAnRvbqriRIKMlAlOACvgHlPGBXJop =GKHy -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1428124.Y7oQeBKhup--
