emerge pfl && e-file libgcc_s.so.1

For that particular one you're going to get a ton of hits ... e-file is
searching http://www.portagefilelist.de

baruch ~ # locate libgcc_s.so.1
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.5.4/libgcc_s.so.1
