As long as you know what the dependencies are and how to invoke it (is it a deamon, or not?). Yes you can figure all that out and write all files but it would take some time. the overlay saved me a lot of time.=20 > No, I do not. Which service files do you need from the package? These have already been done in the overlay.=20 So after some experience with it, I see that booting is a little faster, but not much. But my xfce session startup seems to take longer now. hm... It's also less clear how to manage this thing. The systemadm tool segfaults on me. on the plus side the shutdown is much faster. -- Keith --=20 -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Keith Dart public key: ID: 19017044 =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D
