Subject: [gentoo-user] UEFI Advice
Date: Fri, 26 Oct 2012 18:29:34 +0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20121026182934.05134c17@echoes> (raw)

I am upgrading to a UEFI motherboard from a BIOS/MBR combination.
fx-8350 with 990 asus board.

When I upgrade I believe you have to make changes to kernel to
recognise UEFI.

Can I still use MBR or do I have to switch to GPT?

Also using grub2.

Are there any other pitfalls or advice the Gentoo thinktank can
suggest?
