Subject: [gentoo-user] xfce4 4.10 xsane and Application --> Run Program not working
Date: Tue, 29 May 2012 19:23:34 -0600	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20120530012334.GA3455@syscon7.inet> (raw)

I just upgraded to xfce4 4.10 but two program are not working:

1.) USB scanner, when I run xsane nothing is detected

"lsusb" is listed the scanner:
...
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 04b8:011b Seiko Epson Corp. Perfection 2400 Photo

in /etc/sane.d/epson2.conf
# epson2.conf
# USB
usb
net autodiscovery

So why is usb scanner not detected?

2.) Application --> Run Program
a windows pups up. When I type: nano 1.txt

Nothing happens.
