Subject: [gentoo-user] xorg.xonf, Input_class keyboard
Date: Sat, 3 Sep 2011 05:15:32 +0200	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20110903031532.GA3174@solfire> (raw)

Hi,

in my xorg.conf I have set this:

    Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "keyboard-all"
        Driver "evdev"
        # Option "XkbOptions" "ctrl:nocaps,compose:ralt,terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp"
        Option "XkbOptions" "terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp,caps:super"
        MatchIsKeyboard "on"
    EndSection

but neither "ZAP" (ctrl-alt-backspace) nor caps-lock as Super-key
work. the Dont_Zap option is not set ...

When Caps-Lock is pressed, xev prints:

KeyPress event, serial 40, synthetic NO, window 0x2400001,
        root 0x124, subw 0x0, time 1516416, (78,125), root:(1717,147),
        state 0x10, keycode 23 (keysym 0xff09, Tab), same_screen YES,
        XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (09) "	"
        XmbLookupString gives 1 bytes: (09) "	"
        XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyRelease event, serial 40, synthetic NO, window 0x2400001,
        root 0x124, subw 0x0, time 1516552, (78,125), root:(1717,147),
        state 0x10, keycode 23 (keysym 0xff09, Tab), same_screen YES,
        XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (09) "	"
        XFilterEvent returns: False

How can I install/activate/repair the above settings?

Thank you very much in advance for any help!

Best regards,
mcc
