Running applications as root confuses matters and can give=20 errors not related to running the application as a plain user (which is how= it=20 should run at all times anyway). The buffering error however, which you have not shown verbatim, could well = be=20 related to very high bufferring limit and or a slow connection (if this is= =20 occurring when you are trying to stream videos - you haven't said). Can you increase smplayer/mplayer's verbosity in the log and show the exact= =20 error that comes up when being run as a plain user? =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart6165995.luU6DKsWci Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAk4RqKUACgkQVTDTR3kpaLYVKQCg7ULgcZqWwAKjUUMydZOYDEig GUcAoPb7eKsP6H6Zf+syVTAhPwyWWVZa =HF66 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart6165995.luU6DKsWci--
