Did you check with alsamixer to see if Main or PCM or anything else has bee= n=20 muted? PS. I seem to recall on a dell machine where the sound would be muted=20 inexplicably (I believe due to some hardware setting) that dual booting int= o=20 MSWindows would fix it (i.e. unmute it). As the alsa drivers were develope= d=20 further this problem disappeared a few months later. =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart1488053.Hx4xmMSmc6 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAk1zTV8ACgkQVTDTR3kpaLbYbACcDT0mVJg5w5CL6aLjn3rtF+aA EcsAoPQ44sbeyh3UTV27U5omQ/0umuqO =vZBc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1488053.Hx4xmMSmc6--
