Since Gentoo has critical dynamic libraries in /lib, and the static versions
in /usr/lib, we need to have a "fake" dynamic lib in /usr/lib, otherwise we
run into linking problems. This "fake" dynamic lib is a linker script that
redirects the linker to the real lib. And yes, this works in the cross-

Apparently, though unproven, at 22:51 on Tuesday 11 January 2011, Pat did
opine thusly:
This is your error:
> libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib64/libdbus-glib-1.la' or
> unhandled argument `/usr/lib64/libdbus-glib-1.la'
Your solution is probably:
lafilefixer --justfixit

Try this:
emerge -u lafilefixer && lafilefixer --justfixit
