Whenever you change your central environment variables you must logout and login again, so that the revisions to /etc/profile and all its associated scripts are re-elaborated. In a console shell, you can usually do: . /etc/profile and the new environment values will be assigned. This is why we are told to do that when we use eselect to switch slots of some slotted package, such as GCC. --=20 Regards, Dave [RLU #314465] =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D dwnoon@ntlworld.com (David W Noon) =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D --Sig_/e3coJ./Hepfn.VLV/pfjFVF Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.14 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkwmOuIACgkQc9/LpQ70v4+SsQCffFFIWISaWaixbERU1LPwr12J PscAoKN0hHMyxwwH5v26bfurCrT8fZfV =Kn/6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/e3coJ./Hepfn.VLV/pfjFVF--
