Is INTEL_TXT needed on a kernel for a laptop?

The kernel (2.6.32-r7) advises:

"If you are unsure as to whether this is required, answer N."

Although I understand the general principle of this, I don't know what impact
it may have on day to day terms.

(A healthy dosage or paranoia is OK, but on the other hand I don't even run
SELinux here.)

Have you tried it and if yes what did you notice?
