On the other hand, in some circumstances a boot manager on a floppy is still 
the only way into a system recovery. I had to dig out a USB floppy drive to 
do this just the other day. Boot Magic Rescue, I think it was.

On which topic, is there a make of USB stick that is more-or-less guaranteed 
to boot on any system? I haven't found one yet. Some will boot on this box, 
some on that one, but none on any of them.
