Don't you have cron installed on your box? ;-) I have a cron task run emerge --sync then mail me the output from emerge -upvD --reinstall changed-use @world then it runs emerge -ufD --reinstall changed-use @world to download the distfiles. I still can't do anything useful before a cup of tea though... With a slower machine, I'd say frequent updates are more important, because of the time it would take to work through two weeks' worth of updates in i one go. -- Neil Bothwick If you can't be kind, be vague.
