[gentoo-user] When will the ~ go from Firefox 3.0.12?

Hi,

normally gentoo was quick with security updates for Firefox but it is
almost a month now since 3.0.12 and still the ~ is attached. What's
going on there?

3.0.13 is the latest (with security updates). Or 3.5.2...

Maybe, but 3.0.11 is the latest stable on x86.  The OP's question is a
good one, still awaiting an answer.

I notice that the ebuild for 3.0.13 was added only yesterday, so my
guess is the maintainer is skipping 3.0.12 because it's already obsolete.
Just a guess, however.

I updated to 3.5.2-r1 yesterday & it works very well.
also, 3.5 is much faster than 3.0 on my older stand-by machine.

My policy is to avoid 'testing' for system or other vital packages,
but use it for well-maintained items like Firefox.

well for www-client/mozilla-firefox there isn't even a 3.0.13 ebuild with
a sync from last evening. Plus: This does not answer my question.

It was not meant to answer your question about what's happening (I'm not
involved in that so I don't know the answer). I just wanted to mention
if you are looking for the latest security fixes, 3.0.12 is not the
latest version.
