Hi,
has anybody experienced problems with grub-1.9x .
Since I take an Ext4 boot partition into consideration
I'd need either a patched grub-0.97 (GoSC patch) or
grub-1.97.
Has anybody tried an Ext4 boot partition?
Many thanks for sharing your experience,
Helmut.

According to the Changelog, grub-0.97-r9 has had Ext4 support since the
start of the year.

Unfortunately I don't have any experience with the would-be-grub2, yet.
However I am also interested in if anyone has experiences with it, since
it seems like other projects are beginning migrate to it...

My plesure and best of luck - there is a reasonable how to on the
Gentoo-Wiki [1], the only thing I would say is that the grub-mkconfig script
can take a bit of time to detect all of your kernels

I have been running 0.97-r9 for several months with a ext4 /boot. Seems
to work just fine. ext4 support is patched into the ebuild.
