The xf86-input-joystick module is to use the joystick= as=20 an X input device to control the mouse cursor. It is not needed to play gam= es=20 or to use it in programs that directly use the joystick, like mplayer. You can use xf86-input-joystick to control the cursor or to use a joystick = in=20 games that do NOT know how to handle joysticks themselves. Neither you need joystick in INPUT_DEVICES, nor you need an entry in xorg.c= onf=20 nor have xorg-server compiled with hal to use a joystick in games the usual= =20 way. Appropriate kernel modules and udev will do. =2D Sascha --nextPart1526032.X1au5DaaxA Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.10 (GNU/Linux) iEYEABECAAYFAkm/7kwACgkQOyDtNneHFrOZmwCcDfraKFetyPPbSGMkzoEpRqzj p6cAnA4PrAsVEHz7sJT8yM/X/xnheeDN =w8i0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1526032.X1au5DaaxA--
