I have a 20 GB virtual hangar which I mount as /z ,
where I create ISOs & also use for Portage builds as /z/tmp
(this is set somewhere in make.conf ; I do use LVM).
Ordinarily (eg now), c 2,7 GB are used, so there's plenty for OO.
