I have this problem and i solved this:
mplayer -dvd-device /dvd/device dvd://
or i mount the dvd disc (or mount the iso image) and open with gmplayer.
On the GUI right click->dvd->open disc
sometimes the movie flash and over. if i see the dvd->tracks i see 2
tracks. the first is not good for me, but the second is good. the movie
normally playing - without dvd-menu.
sorry my english and is use hungarian gmplayer.
