For a while I thought perhaps they were more system-critical packages, but upon further investigation I could find no sort of pattern to which packages were being bolded and which weren't. Then I thought maybe it was a local bug, but soon thereafter some of my friends noticed the same thing in their portage outputs. Does anyone know why this behavior occurs?
