This happens with all "binary-source" ;) packages, like java,
firefox-bin, openoffice-bin etc.
They have been made to work on quite all systems (despite existing
libraries).
Use CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK=/dir/path in /etc/make.conf to work around.
PS: check the ML-archives, forums etc for more info.
