Hello, list --

dmesg sez:

usb-storage: device found at 7
usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning
scsi 5:0:0:0: Direct-Access     KM       DiMAGE Z6        1.00 PQ: 0
ANSI: 0 CCS usb-storage: device scan complete

Why can't I get a /dev block device to mount this?

I know I must be missing something simple and obvious.

from /proc/config.gz:

CONFIG_SCSI=y
CONFIG_SCSI_NETLINK=y
CONFIG_SCSI_SPI_ATTRS=y
CONFIG_SCSI_FC_ATTRS=y
CONFIG_SCSI_AIC7XXX=y
CONFIG_SCSI_AIC79XX=y

CONFIG_USB_ARCH_HAS_HCD=y
CONFIG_USB_ARCH_HAS_OHCI=y
CONFIG_USB_ARCH_HAS_EHCI=y
CONFIG_USB=y
CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS=y
CONFIG_USB_EHCI_HCD=y
CONFIG_USB_OHCI_HCD=y
CONFIG_USB_OHCI_LITTLE_ENDIAN=y
CONFIG_USB_UHCI_HCD=y
CONFIG_USB_PRINTER=y
CONFIG_USB_STORAGE=y
CONFIG_USB_HID=y
CONFIG_USB_HIDINPUT=y
CONFIG_USB_MON=y

Any help appreciated.

Try enabling this kernel option:

CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN=y

No, I did not. I do now, though.

Thanks! ;-)
