I just checked and it seems that the OEM firmware on the netgear drops all = ssh=20 attempts to connect. :( $ ssh 192.168.0.1 =20 ssh: connect to host 192.168.0.1 port 22: Connection refused Same story when I use my internet IP address (it times out). It seems that= I=20 will have to try openwrt. Thank you all for your suggestions. PS. I noticed that the -D option can be specified as: "ssh -D=20 [bind_address:]port". Which bind_address should be used in the above examp= le? =20 I am not sure I understand how this is meant to be used. =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart1268203.5Zc3Ra12ZM Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBFnug65Fp0QerLYPcRAjcEAJ9OkLzBKqUkcMOE1DsQNKz8flkCIwCdEU2y oc5nEpoztrDghIEPAieexy4= =WaGB -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1268203.5Zc3Ra12ZM-- -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
