Thanks Stroller, I have not intentionally 'de-regionalised' the movie. =20 However, I can:=20 - Play them straight from the DVD drive with mplayer/xine. =20 - Rip an iso of the DVD onto the hard drive, mount it and play any *vob fi= les=20 in it with mplayer/xine. =20 - Use mencoder and turn each *.vob file on the hard drive into an *.avi,=20 which I can thereafter play. What I can't do is save the DVD, or its iso onto a DVD+R DL. On the other hand if the quality loss is not that great and helps me save t= hem=20 on single layer (cheaper) re-writable DVDs, I don't mind transcoding them t= o=20 a different lossy format.=20 =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart1242444.ADPAMvQfes Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBFcyXv5Fp0QerLYPcRAkWFAKDEgU2WhgHbftw9mJqotd4FekLnFACfVgx2 8tbj06G1L8vMNx4bHWE0l08= =rxWc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1242444.ADPAMvQfes-- -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
