The file is encrypte= d=20 and decrypted using a Psion application called FreeCrypt. FreeCrypt uses a= n=20 RC4 algorithm to encrypt the data. As the hardware is approaching the end of its useful life I wanted to move= =20 away from my dependence on Psion, or use another method in parallel. I hav= e=20 of course gpg on my laptop, but I am concerned that I will be keeping both = my=20 private key and the encrypted file on the same machine. What would you suggest I should use bearing in mind that simplicity and use= of=20 default linux tools would be most preferable, commensurate with as high a=20 degree of security as possible. =2D-=20 Regards, Mick --nextPart7713299.G3RvQ6Po8I Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBFVcOX5Fp0QerLYPcRAsKwAJ0WdkKp/MUmN070QVXSsseiMbZC3gCggLND ij5sGpIH94HciKhe9hCTGqI= =x+op -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart7713299.G3RvQ6Po8I-- -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
