Thanks Bo,

I am writing this from a fully gui-fied system!  The problem seems to be=20
a "userpriv" parameter in my make.conf.  No idea how userpriv brought up th=
e=20
error I posted previously, but with userpriv removed the compile and build=
=20
worked fine.  Another happy camper.  :)
