I'm doing an update, and running into problems with net-dialup/ppp, the second last file in the list. Before doing anything rash, like deleting files I need, I'd like to confirm whether I should do it. I do not have ppp come up on dialup. I use dialup as emergency backup for my ADSL connection. I set up the connection with pppconfig, and dial out with pon, enabled for my regular account via /etc/sudoers. Should I delete the files, yes or no? After this, my next "excellent adventure" will be upgrading to gcc 4.1.1. [ebuild U ] net-dialup/ppp-2.4.3-r16 [2.4.2-r15] USE="-eap-tls% -gtk%" [ebuild U ] net-misc/whois-4.7.12 [4.7.2] Would you like to merge these packages?
