Gentoo is built around a compiler and all the things that ar= e=20 tied to the profile. You can even raise your version of debian or mandrak= e=20 that easy, and they are binary distros. You obviously, dont have any will to find a solution, but just create=20 controversy. And, I did not want to say it this way, but, you really that= =20 someone cares about you having=20 > to leave gentoo for another distro with loud exclamations of > disgust. ? Scream is what children do when they are not gifted with an automatic sol= ution=20 to their problems. Men and women, better try to learn something and find = a=20 way in all areas of life, it is not that hard to look when a profile is=20 updated and make a symlink. Plus portage, as some people already told you= ,=20 will tell you when you really need to update that profile. We could tell the reverse story about you discriminating all of us and gi= fting=20 the lazy ones with priviledges, but I will not do it, cause it is a child= ish=20 arguement that I will not go into. Happy screaming. Jes=FAs. --=20 gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
