Some speciall installer, interface, packages?=20 Frankly, I have never done something like that, but I think making your own linux-distro is "a little" more then just "pack&burn your favourite packages". To code a good installer is not trivial task. Maybe that's why almost every distro uses its own installer... Anyway I think you should first summarise your requirements. Maybe it would be easier to start with some already done distro, and just modify it according to your needs (that's the way some linux-distribution originated from debian, or ubuntu).
