Hi all,
After upgrading to kde 3.5 amarok will not start, also I have had juk fail
with the same lib error.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
I am using :- Portage 2.1_rc4-r3 (default-linux/x86/2006.0, gcc-4.1.1/vanilla,
glibc-2.4-r3, 2.6.16-gentoo-r9 i686)

Hm... If it isn't an issue with gcc-4.1.1 (I am not using that one yet), a
revdep-rebuild may help.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I have tried revdep-rebuild but it said my system was ok.
I am using gcc-4.1.1/vanilla, do you think that may be the problem?
What do I do now?

Since I do not use gcc-4.1.1 yet I don't *know*. I have heard rumours that
there are issues with it (and KDE). That's all I can say. Anything else would
be repeating hearsay. ;-)

My problem is now solved. For anybody who has the same problem it was solved
by removing previous gcc's by emerge --prune gcc.
I have now successfully installed amarok and all is working.
