Search the list archives, this came up very recently. i think the program recommended was scdbackup. Note that backing up to DVD/CD file by file will destroy file permissions. I prefer to use squashfs to create a compressed copy of the filesystem and copy that to DVD. then I can mount it and copy files back without losing permissions. --=20 Neil Bothwick Ultimate memory manager; Windows, it manages to use it all.. --Sig_=QyAhAZGLaGKqHZhub3QHpI Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFEJlVlum4al0N1GQMRApsmAJ4lrL9pDyhuC7VsmdEvemFon0wCuACcDOjC 9MXQWcykjbXeNHHMJ48rO7g= =WqxO -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_=QyAhAZGLaGKqHZhub3QHpI-- -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
