Annoying, but not the end of the world. kill all apps which use your OSS audio device /dev/dsp. I guess some soundserver is blocking it and firefox simply waits for the device to be freed. If this helps then ensure to have a recent ALSA version which does softwaremixing by default and ask the firefox developers to switch from OSS to ALSA.
