Hi,
The chipset support is right below CONFIG_AGP setting.
...
Character devices --->
	/dev/agpgart (AGP support)
		Inter chipset ...
...
There's only one option for Intel chipset support (from 810-I915).
If made as modules put the appropriate entries in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6
PS:could check the genkernel guide too.
