Beddingfield @ 2005-10-08 1:40 UTC (permalink / raw To: gentoo-user I recently install postgresql. When I start the server, I'm getting what looks like a PAM error. orion ~ # /etc/init.d/postgresql start * Starting PostgreSQL ... You are required to change your password immediately (root enforced) su: Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required. (Ignored) [ ok ] orion ~ # Also: orion ~ # su - postgres You are required to change your password immediately (root enforced) su: Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required. (Ignored) postgres@orion ~ $ After this, the su session and the postgres database appear to work normally. I'm concerned with the error message, though. Googling got me nowhere. Any ideas what the problem is? Thanks, Gabriel -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 3+ messages in thread
