Why doesn't equery actually show me all the installed packages?  I
know I have lots of versions of kde installed, but equery doesn't show them:

# equery l -i kde
[ Searching for package 'kde' in all categories among: ]
 * installed packages
[I--] [  ] kde-base/kde-env-3-r4 (0)
[I--] [  ] kde-base/kde-meta-3.4.1 (3.4)
# ls /usr/kde
3  3.1  3.2  3.3  3.4
#

Is there a utility which shows all the installed packages?
