They're not "unstable", they are "testing", and that only applies to the ebuild itself, not the upstream package. If you want the latest versions, you need to run ~arch. Any distro that puts brand new packages (with the exception of security fixes) into its stable package tree has thrown all concept of QA out of the window. --=20 Neil Bothwick Top Oxymorons Number 30: Business ethics --Signature_Sun__14_Aug_2005_23_35_33_+0100_JD2kZSS1rlIgY80= Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFC/8c9um4al0N1GQMRAiZoAKDUWpC57FJzC4FlZwwjACMM4pIoCgCeP+wO 3ADcnUj1VUX42BrGOJ9r4uY= =ErDy -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Signature_Sun__14_Aug_2005_23_35_33_+0100_JD2kZSS1rlIgY80=-- -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
