Hi,

After a emerge -u --deep -world yesterday, X(xorg) won't start any more and give me this error.
X: relocation error: X : symbol __guard, version GLIBC_2.3.2 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference.

Anyone a idee?

Patrick

What did you merge yesterday? You can get a list with

genlop -l | grep 'Dec 5'

Yeah try running revdep-rebuild (available through gentoolkit) on your
installation to see if they are any broken dependencies.

Hi
There is a post on the forums about this but I got mine sorted today by doing
an emerge sync and recompiling glibc
Seems there has been an edit to the ebuild for glibc or maybe a dev has
noticed the problems an earlier edit has caused
