I have to or push from the grub2 menu can you choose your old kernels and boot them? is it sitting waiting for you to press enter but perhaps there is a wierd usb-legacy thing in the bios preventing the keyboard working ? does it appear to acknowledge the pressing of enter by not making you wait for the timeout and then just goes to a blank screen ? a flashing cursor ? > a manual reset.
