About check menuselect:
I am not compiling from source, when I say compiling I refer to:
# emerge -av libpr
# emerge -av dahdi dahdi-tools
# emerge -av asterisk
My USE flags are right now:
net-misc/asterisk postgres http syslog span doc srtp odbc dahdi
