Strange, here I have

dev-tex/luatex 0.70.1-r2
app-text/poppler 0.22.2
app-text/texlive-core 2012-r1

I do remember that after upgrading to poppler 0.22.2 I had to re-emerge
app-text/texlive-core dev-tex/luatex
and quite a few other packages.
