Subject: [gentoo-user] PORTDIR_OVERLAY being ignored (was working fine)
Date: Tue, 04 Jul 2006 09:45:15 +0930 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1151972115.18625.4.camel@orpheus> (raw)
Hi all,
I'm using ~x86, and I just noticed that the PORTDIR_OVERLAY
(/usr/local/portage) is being ignored. I have a few ebuilds in there,
and I know they are laid out right because I have most of them installed
with previous version of portage.
However, with a version of portage around
sys-apps/portage-2.1.1_pre2-r1 or
sys-apps/portage-2.1.1_pre2-r2 it stopped working! I used to get a [1]
reference to the overlay, now I get nothing, as if the directory isn't
there.
Can anyone confirm this? Do you have a workaraound? I can't find
anything on bugzilla or google (yet :), but surely I'm not the first to
notice it?
any comments appreciated. thanks,
